Art To Start GroupWe meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month (holidays permitting) at 2-4pm at the Church rooms, Lostwithiel. Drawing is the main focus of the session with the aim of individual development of work later. We are now continuing with projects using a variety of pencil crayons and experimenting with all aspects of colour.

2021 saw a continuation of the drawing group and a view to continue                                     the theme of colour work and experimentation into the new year 2022

New members are welcome, but may have to be added to a short list

All abilities welcome and lots of experimentation will take place.

 Update November 2020

Last year (Pre Covid) our Group Leader Jacquie went to a gallery in Gloucester to see a demonstration of Jamie Boots' work with a view to the group making a visit.

Now Jamie has uploaded some demonstration videos to YouTube. Here is the introduction video:-

Among several other videos from Jamie there are instructions on how to draw a Meerkat

Update January 2020

Work this year will continue using drawing techniques but will expand into colour primarily using pencil crayon. At present the group is full but please keep an eye open for updates.

This is one of our newer groups and has been very popular. Given the nature of the group, numbers are limited and the first session became fully booked very quickly.
“Art2Start2 began in September with new members from the waiting list and some previous members continuing. The group is already full with 2 members waiting in the wings! This course will run until the 2nd Monday in December and then there will be a new art-based topic in January.
In summary, Art2Start is full……. but watch out for a new course in the Spring”.

UPDATE 30/04/2019

This group is currently full. Any new members wishing to join the group will be added to a waiting list.
Potential new members  please e-mail Jacquie Hannan with your details and she will add you to the waiting list, contacting you in the future with news of available places and session details.
