Free Car Park, near Newquay TR8 4JS

East Pentire Car park at the Headland NewquayTR7 1QD and is one we have to pay for. It appears we can use the Ringo App. Free after 4pm £5.00 for 1-2 hours

TIME OF START AND FINISH

10.00 am with finish anytime to suit, just let the leaders know

INFORMATION ON MAIN POINTS OF INTEREST

We will walk along the reservoir to the bird hide and back with a target species of Great Crested Grebes. Lunch will be at the Reservoir before we drive to East Pentire for coastal birds.

Bring a packed lunch, snacks and any hot drinks you might need.

DISABLED ACCESS (Y/N)

No for wheelchair disabled access apart from car park area. Ground flat mostly around reservoir but uneven likely to be puddles and sections of mud. East Pentire is a headland with cliffs and involves uphill and downhill walking.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THIS TRIP

I believe there are basic toilet facilities at Porth at carpark. None at East Pentire. The paths can be muddy and slippery, please wear suitable walking shoes. Bring binoculars and wear plenty of layers for warmth and hot drinks if you wish.
