Our next Open Meeting will be on Monday 3rd November at 2pm in the Church Rooms, Lostwithiel when renowned international wildlife photographer Adrian Langdon will be coming along to show us some of his stunning work.
Diary dates for Open Meetings 2026: 5th January, 2nd March, 11th May (our AGM), 6th July, 7th September, 2nd November.
Some Group News………
During November our “Electric Dynamos” E-biker Group will be undertaking the “100 miles in November” challenge by dedicating their rides to Pancreatic Cancer UK in order to raise funds for an important charity which supports people and research into this deadly cancer.
In the words of group member Nick Warwick
“It’s funny how events often converge, sometimes for the better, sometimes not. After receiving challenging news from a close friend and feeling helpless about what to do, up pops an opportunity on my social media to do something useful: “100 miles in November”. I bounced the idea across our cycling group and we are going to dedicate our rides in November to help Pancreatic Cancer UK. It remains unsaid between my friend and I, and I cannot properly say it now, but pancreatic cancer is a deadly cancer. It breaks my heart! With research underfunded and left behind, people are left with only hope to hold onto. I am sure you all have your own charities that you regularly support, but our cycling group would be extremely grateful if you could please donate whatever you can to our small fundraiser at http://bit.ly/4nlnjlz .”
