BOVEY TRACEY MAKERS FAIR: SATURDAY 13TH JUNE

On a sunny early summer morning, using the services of LAMA (Lerryn Area Minibus Association), 13 of us ventured into Devon for one of our favourite annual events. The exhibition takes place in several large tents, displaying a vast range of work including painting, sculpture, glass, jewellery, leatherwork…and corn dollies! It’s always particularly nice having the opportunity to speak to the - largely local – makers about items of particular interest.

As well as browsing the art and crafts, there was plenty of food and drink available; ice creams and iced coffees were popular choices on such a warm day! Some of us also popped out of the showground briefly to find some shade and think about what we had seen (and would like to buy?!)

A very enjoyable day. Thanks to our driver Nick for a smooth and comfortable ride, and for ensuring we were kept as cool as possible on the return journey.
