Our meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month between 1000-1200

Tuesday 16th January 2024

  • This was a Free Choice session and we had a good mix of music from the last fifty years or so, including Screaming Lord Sutch and the Savages, Tool, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, The Fall, Weyes Blood, Pekka Pohjola, The Strawbs, Fairport Convention, Miike Snow, The Nightingales, Bernard Allison and the Blues Rebels and The Bo Street Runners.

Tuesday 20th February 2024

  • This theme for this session was Covers - and tracks we "covered" included Jimi Hendrix (Bob Dylan), Pat Boone (Deep Purple), Seal and Matthews Southern Comfort (Joni Mitchell), The Bee Gees (The Beatles) Sinéad O'Connor (Bob Marley) and White Stripes (Dolly Parton)

Tuesday 19th March 2024

  • This was a  Free Choice session so we had a very diverse range of tracks from NEU!, Kraftwerk, Vinegar Joe, Chris Stapleton and The KLF to Gentle Giant, Nirvana, Georgie Fame, Wishbone Ash, Pink Floyd, Hummingbird, Mick Jagger and Dino Baptiste.  Plus we had our first Tenuous track which featured Les Paul and Mary Ford with How High The Moon

Tuesday 16th April 2024

  • The theme for this meeting was Punk and New Wave and we listened to a great selection of music from Iggy Pop, Dr Feelgood, Ramones and Patti Smith to Joe Jackson, Wreckless Eric, The Undertones and Ultravox. The Tenuous 2 track was Another One Bites The Dust by Queen and the tenuous link was that both Brian May from Queen and Les Paul (from Tenuous 1) both made their own guitars!

Tuesday 21st May 2024

  • The theme for this packed session was groups (and duos) who break up and we listened to a wide range of music from Led Zeppelin, Free, Dire Straits and Talking Heads to The Civil Wars, Talking Heads, Traffic, E.L.O., and 4 Non Blondes.  The third instalment in our Tenuous feature was Extreme with Rest in Peace - the link with Queen (from Tenuous 2) being that they were both produced by Reinhold Mack and Extreme played a medley of Queen hits at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley in 1992.

Tuesday 18th June 2024

  • The theme for this session is "Rediscoveries"
