The group started off 2025 with some experimental watercolour techniques, using tissue paper and biodegradable food bags to create different textures. We then moved on to studying artist Hazel Soan’s technique of painting people in watercolour with the help of one of her videos. Other projects included painting using only 3 colours, portraits, pen and Ink and pen and wash and a video on drawing people.  
Next we studied the techniques of Jane Betteridge, producing some lovely paintings in a semi abstract style themed around autumn using salt, cling film and other items to provide texture. Our next project involved each member choosing a favourite artist and producing a painting in the style of that artist with some very interesting results. We ended the year traditionally by making Christmas cards.
